Players won’t have to wait long, as Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree will release in a matter of months. On September 19, the game will release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam. It is currently available to pre-order.
Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree Announcement Trailer
Players will start off their journey by selecting two guardians for each quest. Both of these guardians hold a unique item, with one being the sacred sword Tsuguri and the other being the magical staff Kagura.
As the guardians progress, they will be able to unlock and upgrade their unique skillsets. These upgrades can be obtained in dungeons as well as the Shinju Village via the dojo, smithing shop, and more. Additionally, players have the option to craft new weapons and upgrade them through various materials that can be found.
These guardians will complete these quests across separate timelines, but there’s not much more to elaborate on there. However, Shinju Village will evolve over the years as the player progresses. Furthermore, the villagers have their own stories that will unravel as the player forms bonds with them.
By traveling to far-off lands and defeating Magatsu’s minions, the player may be able to save Shinju Village once and for all.
