Thomas Waterzooi has revealed Please Watch The Artwork during the recent Day of the Devs 2025 showcase. It will release for PC, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch.

Please Watch The Artwork serves as a sequel to Please Touch The Artwork, which initially released in 2022. This new game features a more suspenseful atmosphere as you’re tasked with reporting any anomalies in animated versions of famous paintings throughout history. Check out the first trailer for Please Watch The Artwork, which was revealed during the Day of the Devs 2025 showcase, below:

The Steam page describes the game as follows:

Please, Watch The Artwork is a casual yet suspenseful experience where you spot changes in living paintings during your night shift at the MaMA – the Museum of Animated Modern Art.

Casually flip through surveillance camera’s and report any changes by clicking them and specifying the kind of change. Use the zoom function to delve into every intricate detail.

These aren’t your ordinary artworks. They depict animated slices of everyday life. Moments that loop endlessly inside the frame. An American diner at midnight. A woman lost in thought.

A mysterious sad clown is roaming from canvas to canvas, and his sadness is starting to infect the other paintings.

Six levels with six to seven paintings per level bundled by theme and subject. Showcasing more than 40 paintings in total, from American realism painter Edward Hopper.

It’s just you, the night… and the paintings. Oh… and of course there’s the clown. Caution: the game can make you feel paranoid, melancholic and isolated.

There is no music, only the ambient sounds of the scenes depicted in the artworks. Ranging from relaxing rain to character voices and New York city soundscapes. However, sounds can also be anomalies, so you’ll have to listen carefully.
