Nintendo released a new trailer for The Pokémon Company and Game Freak’s Pokémon Legends: Z-A, confirming digital pre-orders are available now in the Nintendo eShop. The Nintendo Switch version will cost $59.99, the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A costs $69.99, and the upgrade pack costs $9.99.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will launch on October 16 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and pre-orders are already available now physically. Players who purchase either the physical or digital version for Nintendo Switch may upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the aforementioned upgrade pack.
In addition, The Pokémon Company will host a Pokémon Presents digital presentation on July 22 on the official Pokémon YouTube channel. Ahead of the game’s release, new Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Venusaur, Mega Gengar, Mega Lucario, and other themed merchandise will be available at Pokémon Center in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes players back to the Kalos region. Specifically, the game is set inside Lumiose City, which undergoes a major redevelopment plan by the large corporation Quasartico Inc. At the center of the city is its major symbol, Prism Tower. When night falls, Pokémon Legends: Z-A players may battle other Pokémon Trainers in Lumiose City’s Z-A Royale.
The starter Pokémon for Pokémon Legends: Z-A are Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile. In combat, players can now move and dodge with their Pokémon, giving them more control. The player character can also wear a bracelet that allows Pokémon to unleash their Mega Evolutions. Lumiose City has designated “wild zones” using cutting-edge technology. In these zones, players can battle Pokémon and catch them by throwing Poké Balls.
