Shadow Labyrinth Trailer Reveals Mazes and G-HOST Bug Boss

A modern spin on the classic.

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for PAC-MAN-based 2D action platformer Shadow Labyrinth, highlighting the game’s mazes with “twisting corridors, pursuit-style mechanics, and nostalgic sights and sounds.” In addition, the latest Shadow Labyrinth trailer reveals a familiar and massive boss known as the G-HOST Bug.

Shadow Labyrinth is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on July 18. A Digital Deluxe Edition of Shadow Labyrinth will be available on all platforms featuring a digital artbook and soundtrack, and digital pre-orders are going live with special bonuses.

Moreover, a Shadow Labyrinth Secret Edition will be sold featuring the base game, an enamel pin set, a double-sided map/poster, glow in the dark and iridescent stickers, blacklight keychain, and a booklet case. The Bandai Namco Store offers the Shadow Labyrinth Collector’s Edition, which includes Secret Edition contents, a collector’s box, art journal, and Shadow Box.

Shadow Labyrinth is a broad departure from any previous PAC-MAN game, where players take on the role of another character as protagonist, named Swordsman No. 8. In the game, following the events introduced in the Secret Level animated short, players awaken on an alien planet still ravaged by war and monsters.

The protagonist encounters PUCK, a mysterious yet recognizable figure who teaches them that their aim in this treacherous world is to escape it, and to achieve that they must consume everything that waits in the darkness to survive – and ultimately become the planet’s apex predator.

Players traverse a maze-filled world where enemies and puzzles new and familiar will challenge them at every step. Success comes from mastery of fluid combat and exploration to uncover increasingly powerful abilities and skills and conquering challenging bosses to discover their true purpose.
