Capcom announced a collaboration between Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 will be held starting May 28 with update 1.011.00.00. The Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 collaboration includes a special side mission called “Ultimate Strength,” featuring Akuma.
Players can claim special collab rewards by completing the quest and the collab arena quests Demonic Strength and True Strength. These rewards include:
- “Akuma” hunter full armor set and layered equipment
- “Blanka-Chan” Palico full armor set and layered equipment
- Hunter Profile background, nameplate, and pose
To start Ultimate Strength, players must be at least HR 21 or higher. Once the criteria is met, players can talk to Quinn, the Vespae Unit handler, at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp to start the mission.
Equipping the Akuma full armor set or full layered armor set lets players use Akuma’s unique item and gestures to perform his fighting moves and utilize Drive Impact. You can use the “Assisted Combo: Akuma” item command in the Item Bar to branch out into various combo attacks and unleash special moves like Gou Hadoken and Gou Shoryuken. It’s worth noting that attack power for Akuma’s unique actions is based on the player’s main weapon, and equipping the full armor set boosts attack power more than the full layered armor set.
The following DLC will also be available:
- Alma Outfits
- Chun-Li Outfit – SF6
- Cammy Outfit – SF6
- Pendant
- Blanka-Chan Doll
- Stickers
- Street Fighter 6 Set
- Gestures
- Hadoken | Shoryuken | Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku
- Note: Gestures have attack properties.
Lastly, Monster Hunter Wilds is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Final Weapon gave Monster Hunter Wilds a 4/5 score, noting that it’s an excellent entry in the long-running series and a worthy follow-up to Monster Hunter World.
