8BitDo has revealed the new 8BitDo Arcade Controller range of leverless fightsticks, with pre-orders now open ahead of the July 15 launch. Two variations will be available: an officially licensed Xbox version (compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC), and a standard version (compatible with Nintendo Switch and Windows PC).
The new 8BitDo Arcade Controller is nearly the same size as an A4-size sheet of paper, measuring as thin as 1.6 cm thick and almost one-third the size of the standard 8BitDo Arcade Stick. Players have the option of connecting it wired for minimum lag and tournament play or go wireless via 2.4G with the included adapter. The standard version also includes Bluetooth connectivity with 20 to 40 hours of use on a single charge, thanks to its Li-ion rechargeable battery.
The new fight stick offers ultra-fast inputs and an all-button arcade design with a precise quad-movement layout. Gamers may customize the Programmable Buttons, remapping P1 and P2 (Xbox) or P1, P2, P3 and P4 (standard) to fit different gaming postures and scenarios. In addition, gamers can disable the Programmable Buttons by replacing them with flat lock caps to avoid accidental presses (four button lock caps included).
Moreover, the Arcade Controller range includes esports-ready features, such as SOCD (Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions) cleaning and tournament lock. On the standard version, players can make use of the Dynamic Button Layout to switch between Switch (S-Input) and PC (X-Input) mode. Magnetic foldable feet engineered from metal allows users to adjust between two angles for comfort and stability, and the fingerprint-proof tempered glass faceplate brings a smudge-resistant and sleek appearance. The underside is fitted with a non-slip silicone mat for stable and secure placement.
The Independent Control Panel on the top left of the Arcade Controller lets players easily adjust volume, RGB lighting, and button mapping. The Arcade Controller range features a hot-swappable PCB with 16 Kailh Wizard low-profile mechanical switches, which can be easily replaced with alternative switches. Customization is complemented further by the 8BitDo Ultimate Software with even more options.

The 8BitDo Arcade Controller for Xbox and 8BitDo Arcade Controller for Switch are available for purchase on Amazon for $89.99 and $99.99, respectively (non-affiliate links). The controllers will begin to ship on July 15 in North America and August 15 across Europe.
