Crunchyroll has released the Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~ anime trilogy on its streaming service. The films initially released in 2022.
The films include “Yuki no Maki” (Snow Story), “Tsuki no Maki” (Moon Story), and “Hana no Maki” (Flower Story). The trilogy’s manga adaptation released in 2023. The Toku Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru ~Setsugetsuka~ anime trilogy, plus the entire Touken Ranbu – Hanamaru series, are available now on Crunchyroll. The streaming service describes it as follows:
In the year 2205, the past becomes threatened by the historical revisionists who seek to change it. Protecting history becomes the task of a boisterous band of swords that are brought to life, including the glamorous Kashu Kiyomitsu and the kindly Yamatonokami Yasusada. Beyond their battles, these legendary swords from different eras lead charming daily lives.
Recently, the streaming service also released the Touken Ranbu Kai Douden anime. The series, which serves as a sequel to Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji, initially aired in theaters on August 16.
Touken Ranbu Moyuru Honnōji is a stage play that initially began in 2016. The stage play is based on the Touken Ranbu browser game from 2015 in Japan. The game released worldwide in 2021, but the English and Chinese versions were shut down.
