Shochiku has revealed new promo for the next part of the anime adaptation of The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows light novel. The next part will start airing on May 22.
Several new cast members will also debut in the next part. This includes Takehito Koyasu as Becker, Setsuo Itō as Cress, and Testu Inada. They join Yuki Nakashima as Krishna, Taku Yashiro as Zonde, Masaaki Mizunaka as Aston, Shōgo Sakata as Zenos, Miharu Hanai as Lily, Yōko Hikasa as Carmilla, and Anna Nagase as Zophia. Initially, The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows aired on April 3. Sakaku Hishikawa first released the light novel on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website in 2024. J-Novel Club describes the manga adaptation of the light novel as follows:
Born a poor man in the slums, Zenos never had opportunities in life, so he decides to forge his own opportunities by teaching himself the curative arts after a chance encounter with a healer. When an adventuring party led by a man named Aston extends him an invitation, Zenos is elated—only to then be treated like dirt by his teammates.
Despite Zenos’s diligent efforts to hone his skills to nothing short of perfection, the party deems him useless and kicks him out. Bereft of money and options, Zenos starts an illegal clinic and becomes a shadow healer.
