The staff for the upcoming Crayon Shin-chan 2025 film has announced that the members from the Viking Comedy duo will join the movie’s cast. The film will release in theaters on August 8.
Eiji Kotōge and Mizuki Nishimura of the Viking Comedy duo will play Ufun Ahan and a nameless part-time worker respectively in the upcoming 2025 Crayon Shin-chan film. The film, the full title of which is Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Magificent! Scorching Kasukabe Dancers, is the thirty-second in the series. The film will take place in India, the first time a film in the franchise will take place in the country. Shinnosuke and the members of the Kasukabe Defense Force will dance in the film.
Recently, TV Asahi announced that an anime adaptation for a Crayon Shin-chan manga spin-off is in development. The series, titled Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi, will focus on Shin-chan’s father. Toshiyuki Morikawa will reprise his role as Hiroshi Nohara in the Crayon Shin-chan anime in the upcoming spin-off. The series will air every Friday, starting in October.
Last year, Neos released a game based on the Shin Chan franchise. The game, titled Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town, is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC.
