Persona Series Sells 830,000 Copies Between January and March 2025

3.58 million copies sold within the fiscal year.

    Published:

Sega Sammy released the company’s Q4 financial results for the fiscal year ended March 2025, confirming the Persona series sold roughly 830,000 units between January and the end of March. As a result, the Persona series sold 3.58 million copies within the fiscal year, with 940,000 copies being sold between October and December 2024.

Moreover, ATLUS plans to announce the release date of Persona 5: The Phantom X for Japan during the “P5X News Vol. 2 – Release Date Announcement Special!” livestream, which will be held on May 15 at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT on YouTube. A new trailer for Persona 5: The Phantom X will also be released.

Persona 4 Remake could boost sales even further in the near future. This past March, a potential Persona 4 Remake domain titled P4RE.jp was registered, and a subsequent update in April suggests an announcement could be imminent. The update to the P4RE website follows a similar pattern to past Persona domains, which involves a move to owned nameservers instead of the Onamae nameservers for the generic landing page.

Before the P4RE.jp domain was registered, Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden OST vocalist and artist Shihoko Hirata announced she’s begun recording for a new unannounced game. Hirata stated that the piece she’s working on is really tough, and she’s nervous about getting the recording right for the new game. Hirata shared a photo of what appears to be MIT Studio (Studio 2), which is the same studio that recorded many of the Persona soundtracks over the years. One of the MIT Studio’s most recent works was Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis -The Answer-.

The latest entry in the Persona series, Persona 3 Reload, is available now along with the Episode Aigis -The Answer-. Both are available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam
