Persona 4/Persona 4 Golden OST vocalist and artist Shihoko Hirata announced that she’s begun recording for a new unannounced game on Instagram. It’s unclear whether the game is related to the Persona series or not, but fans of her work should be excited nonetheless.
On Instagram, Hirata stated that the piece she’s working on is really tough, and she’s nervous about getting the recording right for the new game. However, she undoubtedly plans to do her best.
As spotted by @rudiger__tw, the photo Hirata showed on Instagram appears to be MIT Studio (Studio 2), which is the same studio used to record many of the Persona soundtracks over the years. One of the MIT Studio’s most recent works was Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis -The Answer-. However, this is not confirmation that the game she’s working on is related to the Persona series, such as a Persona 4 remake.
One of Hirata’s latest works outside the Persona series was even if TEMPEST Dawning Connections, which released on October 26, 2023 for Nintendo Switch. even if TEMPEST Dawning Connections is a visual novel fandisc that follows up after the events of even if TEMPEST. Shihoko Hirata performed the theme song “Breaking of Dawn,” which is featured in the game’s official opening movie.
The latest entry in the Persona series, Persona 3 Reload, is available now along with the Episode Aigis -The Answer-. Both are available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
