The SEGA Dreamcast initially released in 1998. Despite its short lifecycle, the console is known for several iconic games, including Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure, SoulCalibur, Shenmue, and countless others. SEGA would discontinue the console in March 31st 2001, yet its legacy still lives on.
Recently, Capcom released several of its biggest Dreamcast fighting games for modern consoles in various collections. One of these is the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which released in 2024 and includes X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, and The Punisher.
Last month, Capcom released an update for the game which adds a version select for X-Men vs. Street Fighter, a resolution option for Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, offline versus in all added games, new menu button settings, the ability to reset the game directly from the pause menu, new artwork, and new bonus remixes from CAP-JAMS.
