    Made in collaboration with JAKKS.

    Published:

JAKKS and SEGA have announced merchandise and a new toy line based on the ongoing collaboration between Sonic the Hedgehog and DC will release in fall 2025. The new products include action figures, plushies, and toy vehicles.

In the past, JAKKS has made toy action figures and plushies based on specific IPs like Sonic the Hedgehog or Frozen. It will be continuing this trend with the upcoming collaboration. In fall 2025, action figures, plushies, and vehicles based on characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, and more will release.

“JAKKS is honored to be at the forefront of producing toys for this historic entertainment crossover,” Kevin Feely, Vice President of Marketing at JAKKS Pacific said in a press release. “The fusion of Sonic’s speed and style with DC’s legendary Super Heroes allows us to create products that are innovative, collectible, and incredibly fun for audiences of all ages. Sonic and DC fans are in for something truly special!”

DC x Sonic the Hedgehog issue #1 by writer Ian Flynn, artist Adam Bryce Thomas, and colorist Matt Herms released on March 19, 2025, with a cover by Pablo M. Collar and a variant cover by Ethan Young. Additionally, issue #2 recently released on April 17.

Here’s an overview of the first issue:

The action speeds up when the monstrous Darkseid crosses dimensions to invade the world of Sonic the Hedgehog, seeking the ultimate power. Sonic and his friends have faced everything from mad scientists to ancient spirits, but the forces of Apokolips may be too much for them! Thankfully, the full heroic might of the Justice League arrives to back them up!

Issue 1 and 2 of the Sonic the Hedgehog and DC comic collaboration are available at most local and online retailers.
