Akatsuki Games announced Kaiju No. 8: The Game surpassed a total of 100,000 pre-registrations worldwide. To celebrate the latest pre-registrations milestone, all players will receive 100,000 Credits when Kaiju No. 8: The Game launches.
Pre-registration for Kaiju No. 8: The Game is available on iOS via App Store, Android via Google Play, and PC via Steam. More rewards will be distributed at various milestones. These rewards include:
- 200,000 pre-registrations – 1,000 Dimensional Crystals
- 300,000 pre-registrations – The Game Gacha Ticket x10
- 500,000 pre-registrations – 4-star playable character Mina Ashiro
In Japan, the Kaiju No. 8 Mission Recon compilation film was screening for three weeks only in participating theaters starting March 28. The film came to the west for screenings in select theaters from April 13 to 16. Kaiju No. 8 Mission Recon features the new “Hoshina’s Day Off” original episode. Yūto Tsukuda is the writer for the compilation film’s new episode, and Yuichiro Kido is the scriptwriter. OneRepublic performs the ending theme song “Invincible.”
Afterward, Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 anime will premiere in July 2025. The anime will air on TV Tokyo and affiliate channels, and it will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll. As previously announced, Kōki Uchiyama joins the anime series as Gen Harumi in the second season.
