    Amate is a high-school student living peacefully in a space colony floating in outer space. After meeting Nyaan, a war refugee, Amate is drawn into an illegal mobile suit battling scene known as Clan Battle. Under the alias of Machu, Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX mobile suit and enters the fray nearly every day to make a name for herself. One day, she encounters an unidentified Gundam unit pursued by the space force and police, along with its pilot Shūji.
