Funcom announced a large-scale beta for MMORPG Dune: Awakening will be held from May 9 to May 12. This will be the largest beta held to date for the game with the first 20 hours of the game’s story, encompassing most of Act 1.
Dune: Awakening players can get their spot reserved for the upcoming beta by going to the game’s Steam page and requesting access. Moreover, tens of thousands of beta codes will be given away during the Dune: Awakening Global LAN Party Broadcast, which will be streamed from London and PAX East 2025 in Boston on May 10. Viewers will enjoy lead developers discussing the game, and various content creators facing off against each other in an exciting in-game competition.
Pre-orders are available now, and the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will be available at a later date. Three editions are available: a standard, deluxe, and ultimate edition. The deluxe edition includes access to the game on June 5, a season pass, and Sardaukar Bator Armor. The ultimate edition includes the aforementioned content, as well as Caladan Palace Building Set, Dune (2021) Film Stillsuit, a Digital Artbook, a Digital Soundtrack, a Blue Dasher Ornithopter Swatch, and a Dusk Rider Sandbike Swatch.
It’s worth noting that there will be no subscription model for Dune: Awakening, as the game will be available to purchase for $49.99. However, there will be optional paid DLCs, and the game will get free updates with new content, features, and enhancements over time.
Dune: Awakening will release on June 10 for PC via Steam, with head start (early access) beginning on June 5. Before its delay, Dune: Awakening was planned to release on May 20.
