The recent issue of Kadokawa’s Gundam Ace magazine has announced a new manga known as Mobile Suit Gundam Eight. The manga is described as an “alternative series” to the franchise.
Hajime Kamoshida and Shuei Takagi are the manga’s creators. The series was initially announced in September 2021 as part of the 20th anniversary of the Gundam Ace magazine. The manga is still listed as “coming soon.”
Recently, Amazon Prime Video started streaming the new Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX anime with a same-day English dub. The Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX English dub cast includes:

The anime’s staff includes the Evangelion franchise creator Hideaki Anno as script writer, alongside Yoji Enokido. Kazuya Tsurumaki is the anime’s director. Take is the character designer. The Japanese voice cast of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX includes Tomoya Kurosawa as Amate Yuzuriha, Yui Ishikawa as Nyaan, and Shimba Tsuchiya as Shuji Ito.
Singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu performs “Plazma,” the theme song of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- and the opening theme song of the TV anime. hololive VTuber Suisei Hoshimachi performs Mō Dō Natte mo Ii ya (I don’t really care what happens anymore)” and NOMELON NOLEMON performs “Midnight Reflection.” Hoshimachi’s insert song serves as the ending theme song of the TV anime.
The Mobile Suit Gundam Eight manga is currently in development.
