2P Games and Zerocreation Games celebrates the first anniversary of visual novel The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty with the release of a new digital artbook ($4.99) on Steam. The digital artbook for The Hungry Lamb includes three chapters full of concept art and behind the scenes insight.

In addition, a new update for the game is now available with French, Russian, Ukrainian, and Italian language options, and the developers are planning to port The Hungry Lamb to more platforms. Zerocreation Games also confirmed that Sui and Liang from The Hungry Lamb will appear in the sequel, The Weeping Swan: Ten Days of the City’s Fall, in Q4 2025. They will be side characters in minor side storylines.

In the visual novel, players experience the story through the perspective of Liang, a refugee that lost everything on the day of the Great Tianqi Explosion in 1626. He turned to crime, shutting away his dream to travel the world as a hero. However, a certain job requiring him to escort four girls to a wealthy lord in the city of Luoyang will change his fate.

The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty is available now for Nintendo Switch  and PC via Steam worldwide. Final Weapon reviewed the Nintendo Switch version of The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty, giving it a 3.5 out of 5. Despite some of its pacing issues, the dark visual novel has a satisfying narrative.
