Bethesda has finally announced The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered after a long period of rumors and leaks. The game has launched today as a surprise, available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The first reports of the game initially surfaced in an FTC document, alongside the previously announced Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Doom: The Dark Ages. A prior leak confirmed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be remade from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.
Many systems have been reworked in addition to the updated visuals in Unreal Engine 5. This includes combat, UI, the addition of spriting, a new leveling system, new voiceovers, updated animations, and more. Developer Virtuos was in charge of the remake.
