Lucasfilm has announced that Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 will premiere on October 29. The studio also confirmed a new limited series spin-off based on one of the episodes from Season 1, titled “The Ninth Jedi.”
While Volume 2 highlighted studios from Japan, India, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Chile, France, South Africa, South Korea, and the United States, Volume 3 will return the series to its roots. Nine anime studios will direct the nine upcoming episodes. Four studios return from Star Wars: Visions Volume 1. The studios working on Volume 3 include the following:
- David Production (Cells at Work, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
- Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA (Batman Ninja and Sand Land)
- Kinema Citrus Co. (Made in Abyss)
- Polygon Pictures (Pacific Rim: The Black)
- Production I.G. (Attack on Titan)
- Project Studio Q (Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon a Time)
- TRIGGER (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Kill la Kill)
- WIT Studio (Spy x Family and Suicide Squad ISEKAI)
TRIGGER, Kamikaze Douga, Kinema Citrus, and Production I.G. return from Volume 1. The initial season also featured Studio Colorido, Geno Studio, and Science Saru. Volume 3 will feature follow-ups for “The Ninth Jedi” from Production I.G., “The Duel” from Kamikaze Douga, and “The Village Bride” from Kinema Citrus. Additionally, a full limited series based on “The Ninth Jedi,” titled Star Wars: Visions Presents The Ninth Jedi, will air in 2026.
