Kuro Games announced the next version update for Wuthering Waves. Wuthering Waves Version 2.3, titled Fiery Arpeggio of Summer Reunion, will be released for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 on April 29, 2025 (UTC+8). The previously announced Steam version of the game will also be releasing on that same day.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Resonators
Two new 5-Star Resonators will make their debut in Version 2.3. The first is Zani, the staff member of the Montelli Family’s Averardo Bank in Ragunna, and the one who the Rover meets upon their arrival in Rinascita. She is a Spectro Resonator who uses gauntlet-based weapons, and a giant shield in combat. When she unleashes her Resonance Liberation, Zani’s stance changes, delivering a powerful blow to all enemies.
The next 5-Star resonator is Ciaccona. Born into a family that cherished poetry and music, Ciaccona is able to play a variety of instruments, believing that each of them have their own story. She is an Aero resonator who wields pistol-based weapons. Her Resonance Ability has her summon sigils that assist allies in battle, making her a powerful support unit.
Zani will be available during the first half of banners of Version 2.3, while Ciaccona will make her debut in the second half of the update.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Improvements
- New Feature – Echo Aspect: You can now change the appearance of the Rover’s Glide/Flight apparatus.
- Data Modification: A new item called the Modifier has been added to the game. The Modifier can be obtained through various methods such as the Pioneer Podcast and events, and allows players to adjust the main stat of a unenhanced 5-star Echo.
- Ray Tracing and 120 FPS Support Expansion: Ray tracing support will be expanded for PC users that are running certain AMD and Intel graphics cards. The option to change the game’s framerate to 120 will also be available to more configurations.
- No Cooldown for Boss Fights: Upon completing a Boss or Nightmare Challenge, you have the option to immediately restart the fight, without worrying about cooldown timers.
- New Glossary Feature: Important in-game terminology will now be highlighted in dialogue. Clicking on this highlight will bring up the definition of the word.
Wuthering Waves 1st Anniversary Celebration
To celebrate the 1st anniversary of Wuthering Waves, the developer announced a plethora of login bonus rewards that will be given away to all players. Upon logging into the game after maintenance, players can obtain 10 Radiant Tales and a special avatar. To celebrate the release of the two brand-new resonators, two separate login bonus will be held at different periods.
Furthermore, a special type of banner will be run alongside Zani and Ciaccona’s banners. This special reprint banner allows players to choose from a selection of previously released Resonators, and obtain them once more. The first phase’s banner will allow you to choose from Jiyan, Yinli, Zhezhi, Xiangli Yao and Phoebe, while the second phase banner will allow for a selection from Jinhsi, Changli, Carlotta, Roccia and Brant. Players are also able to alter the weapon banner to feature these characters’ signature weapons, according to their needs.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.3 Trailer
Wuthering Waves launched on May 22, 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 in early January 2025. Over 30 million players have downloaded the game thus far. To celebrate 30 million downloads, Kuro Games distributed Lustrous Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x5 to all Wuthering Waves players for free.
