FuRyu and Team Noir, the development team behind Monark, are teasing the reveal of a new school RPG for April 23 at 8:00 a.m. PDT / 11:00 a.m. EDT. This new game will feature a different theme, unlike Monark’s focus on desire and ego, and the official teaser website is now live.

The new school life RPG from Team Noir will feature background music by Tsukasa Masuko, who previously composed music for the Shin Megami Tensei series. The scenario is written by Gakuto Mikumo and Ryūtarou Itou, with supervision by Kazunari Suzuki. Moreover, there will be at least eight different composers for the character theme songs

While celebrating Monarks second anniversary in 2023, game producer Fuyuki Hayashi states that everyone involved with development of Monark is happy with the support that fans continue to give them two years later. The sales achieved during the game’s first year allowed the development team to continue onto a “new challenge.” At the time, Hayashi said that the development team planned to continue celebrating the second anniversary of Monark well into 2024. Hayashi also asked fans for their continued support of Monark for more years to come.

Monark launched on October 14, 2021 in Japan followed by the western release on February 22, 2022 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Before its western launch, Final Weapon reviewed Monark for Nintendo Switch and gave it a 4 out of 5 score, praising its narrative, music, and turn-based gameplay.
