Sanrio and Sunblink announced Hello Kitty Island Adventure announced the Imagination Celebration event will be held from April 18 to May 22. In addition, a new update is out now, and several new pieces of content were detailed.
During the Imagination Celebration event, Hello Kitty Island Adventure players team up with Hello Kitty and Friends and dress up as knights, princesses, and wizards to find Mystic Stones and restore magic to the kingdom. The main story also continues, with Keroppi needing some help with an orchard atop the City Town rooftops. Players can grow 13 new fruits to make new Fruit Sandos in the Imagination Cafe.
Retsuko’s friend Puko also arrives as a new visitor, and new quests have been added for players wanting to spend more time with certain visitors. The new update brought new quality of life improvements and new features, including a map for City Town Sewers and a revamped tool wheel. There’s more to come soon, including an “egg-cellent island takeover of an iconic Sanrio pal.”
Sanrio and Sunblink announced Hello Kitty Island Adventure surpassed 500,000 copies sold worldwide. The latest sales update includes digital copies of Hello Kitty Island Adventure sold for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop and PC via Steam.
In June 2024, Final Weapon had the opportunity to preview Hello Kitty Island Adventure, which showed that it was shaping up to be an excellent title at the time. Final Weapon also reviewed Hello Kitty Island Adventure and gave it a 4/5 score, claiming it to be the perfect vacation for Sanrio fans.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is coming soon to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
