REYNATIS creative producer Takumi Isobe would like to see the Kingdom Hearts Union χ and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road mobile games come to consoles before the release of Kingdom Hearts IV. Both of the mobile games contain important lore and context for the overarching story of Kingdom Hearts, and it appears that the REYNATIS producer wants everyone to be caught up before Kingdom Hearts IV is out.
The finale of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road arrived on August 26, 2022 with a final free update. After the update’s release, the game was converted to an offline version, since servers were shut down.
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was revealed alongside the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts IV during the 20th anniversary event in April 2022. Both games are still in development, with Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link receiving a delay back in November 2024. Similarly to Kingdom Hearts Dark Road, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link tells a story that bridges the gap between plot threads long before Sora’s journey in the original game.
Kingdom Hearts IV marks the beginning of the Lost Master arc, which is the “second phase” of the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora will explore the mysterious city of Quadratum, located in a separate universe regarded as “fiction” to the Kingdom Hearts universe.
REYNATIS is now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the west. Before its launch in September 2024, Final Weapon reviewed REYNATIS and gave it a 3.5 out of 5 score.
