Marvelous confirmed that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will be fully available on its Nintendo Switch 2 game card when it launches on June 5. This means that Nintendo Switch 2 players can immediately launch Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma once it’s inserted into the console, without needing to update it.
Originally, fans were concerned that Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma would be a game-key card title, which meant that the card would not have any game data and would require a full install. Fortunately, the game will be available fully on the card, similarly to Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will also be available for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam on June 5. A Digital Deluxe DLC set will be available with the Seasons of Love Bundle and the Festive Attire and Dark Woolby Bundle for $9.99. In addition, a Super Digital Deluxe DLC set will be available for $19.99 featuring Digital Deluxe DLC, a digital soundtrack, and a digital art book.
A Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Earth Dancer Edition will be sold for $99.99 in the Marvelous USA store. This physical edition includes a custom box, original soundtrack CD, an artbook, a special folding fan, the Seasons of Love, additional DLC costumes, and a Woolby plush keychain.
Fans can also look forward to Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin collaboration DLC for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. Sakuna will be a resident of Azuma, acting as an NPC thatplayers can interact with at her home where she continues to cultivate rice. Players will be able to befriend Sakuna and invite her to the party for battle.
