Nintendo Switch 2 producer Kouichi Kawamoto confirmed that the console’s top USB-C port will not offer video output, unlike the bottom USB-C port. The top USB-C port supports the Nintendo Switch 2 camera and charging cable, while video output is limited to the bottom port.
Kawamoto said, “The Switch 2’s video output is limited to the bottom USB-C port and the top USB-C port does not support video output.”
However, the possibility for future Nintendo Switch 2 accessories using the top USB-C port still remains. Third-parties like HORI are already planning to release their own cameras, such as the Piranha Plant Nintendo Switch 2 camera.
