This version will include two different graphics options, Quality Mode and Performance Mode, which output at 4K60 and 1080p120, respectively. Both of these modes will support HDR, and there’s even the option to play with mouse controls with Joy-Con 2.

A release date was not revealed beyond a 2025 date. You can check out the trailer below:

Last week, Nintendo and Retro Studios premiered a brand-new gameplay trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond that highlighted a new set of abilities for Samus called Psychic Abilities. You can control your shots mid-air, manipulate objects in the environment, and so much more. Additionally, a sneak peek at a brand-new red suit for Samus was showcased at the end of the trailer.

In a press release, Nintendo shared the following about the upcoming game:

“Samus Aran has been unexpectedly transported to the planet Viewros. As she explores the planet for answers, Samus is granted Psychic Abilities – mysterious and ancient powers that allow her to control the trajectory of her beams, operate mechanisms and open doors. Why were these powers bestowed upon Samus and what will her fate be? The threads intertwining beyond space and time will weave a new tale when Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches on Nintendo Switch this year.”

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will release in 2025 for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
