Square Enix released a new teaser trailer for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, which launches in 2025. A release date was not announced, but fans can get another sneak peek into the setting and gameplay of both games by watching the teaser trailer.
The most recent game in the prolific RPG series is Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which was developed by ARTDINK and Square Enix’s Team Asano. Series creator Yuji Horii continuing his role as supervisor with his latest work being the new Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. These remakes will bring the entire Erdrick trilogy to the modern era, while vastly upgrading its visuals in a way that stays true to the classic RPGs.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is available again for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop with a permanent price drop to $39.99. On February 1, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition was made unavailable for purchase due to minor updates being made to the game’s eShop listing. Players who already purchased the game on Nintendo Switch were not affected, as they could still re-download the game at any time.
Lastly, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
