    This past weekend was unforgettable for anime fans, as AnimeJapan 2025 left fans reeling with fantastic announcements. The event was held on Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23, at the Tokyo Big Sight East Exhibition Hall. It featured many trailers, major announcements, and several Voice actors and producers. In this article, we will reveal all the major announcements from the event.

    My Hero Academia

    After nearly 10 years, Deku’s journey is ending, with season 8 bringing the hero’s journey to an end. My Hero Academia season 7 set the tone for the war as the battle between One For All and the heroes reaches new heights. The event revealed a new trailer and key visual for the upcoming season, which is set to premiere in October 2025.

    To Be Hero X

    To Be Hero X has been one of the most anticipated anime for the past two years. Since the first trailer was revealed in 2022, fans have been expecting the release of the visually stunning anime. Aniplex and Bilibili unveiled the main trailer for the anime, showcasing the anime’s opening and ending theme song. They then confirmed the anime’s April 6 release date.

    Classroom of the Elite

    The event revealed that Classroom of the Elite Season 4 was already in the works, and a teaser trailer was unveiled. The upcoming season, titled Classroom of the Elite: Year 2, will see Ayanokoji step out of the shadows and take a more active role in the class’s affairs.

    Solo Leveling

    Solo Leveling Season 2 has been the most talked-about anime this year, breaking and setting new records with each release. Following the epic conclusion to the Jeju Island raid, Solo Leveling prepares for its final episode. A new trailer was released ahead of the upcoming finale. The trailer left tears in the eyes of many fans as it shows Jinwoo’s growth and journey from the double dungeon to the clash against Beru.

    Tougen Anki

    During the event, REMOW released a new trailer for the highly anticipated summer release of Yura Urushibara’s Tougen Anki. The anime will be released sometime in July.

    Sakamoto Days


    Following the success of the Sakamoto Days anime’s first cour, the event gave fans a sneak peek at what to expect this summer. However, no exact release date has been made public yet.

    Oshi No Ko Season 3

    Oshi no Ko Season 3 Aqua side PV Doga Kobo revealed a new teaser and poster for the highly anticipated release of Oshi No Ko Season 3. The anime will be released sometime in 2026, with no exact release date yet available.

    Tokyo Revengers

    To celebrate the anime’s fifth anniversary, Liden Films revealed that it would be returning. The new season, Tokyo Revengers: War of The Three Deities, will see Takemichi’s journey continue after the conflict between the Tokyo Manji gang and Tenjiku. 

    Black Butler

    Ciel and Sebastian’s journey continues this Spring as the dynamic duo must solve a case for the Queen of England. The event unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming season, which showcased the anime’s opening and ending theme song. The anime will premiere on April 5 and will be streamed on Crunchyroll.

    Rurouni Kenshin Season 3

    Liden Films and Aniplex announced that the reboot of Rurouni Kenshin will be getting a third season. However, no news concerning the upcoming season has been made available yet.

    One Piece

    Koisuru One Piece anime

    One Piece is set to return from its historic six-month hiatus in April. However, fans of the franchise have a lot to look forward to, as a new spinoff anime has just been announced. The spinoff is called Koisuru One Piece and is based on the manga of the same name. Toei Animation also announced that when One Piece returns on April 5, it will no longer be shown at 9:30 but will be moved to Sunday nights at 11:15 PM JST.

    My Dress Up Darling

    Aniplex’s AnimeJapan 2025 stage event confirmed that My Dress-Up Darling Season 2 will premiere in July 2025. There was a brief new look at one of Marin’s cosplays. 

    Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid

    The staff of Kyoto Animation unveiled the poster for the new movie in the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid franchise. The movie Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved is set to release this summer.

    Kaiju No. 8

    Since the first season ended, fans have been itching for news on the upcoming season of Kaiju No. 8. At Anime Japan 2025, it was confirmed that the anime will be released in July 2025. A new trailer was also released, giving fans a preview of what they can expect from the new season.

    Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus

    During the AnimeJapan 2025 event, Aniplex of America confirmed that the Rascal Does Not Dream franchise will return with another TV series. The company confirmed that the anime will be released in July and unveiled the trailer for the series.

    Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 Trailer Revealed at AnimeJapan 2025

    The Rent a Girlfriend anime staff unveiled a new trailer and poster for the upcoming fourth season. The fourth season was confirmed to focus heavily on the Hawaii Arc from the manga. 

    Sentenced to Be a Hero

    The AnimeJapan 2025 panel for the TV anime adaptation of Rocket Shokai’s Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004 light novel series confirmed the anime’s October 2025 premiere.

    Chainsaw Man

    Chainsaw Man Reze Arc

    After a long three-year wait, Chainsaw Man returns with the Reze Arc Movie. It was confirmed that the movie will be released in Japanese theaters on September 19, 2025. However, no news concerning the global release date has been made available yet.

    Chained Soldier Season 2

    During the AnimeJapan 2025 stage event, Pony Canyon confirmed that the Chained Soldier Season 2 anime will premiere in 2026 and unveiled a new key visual.

    Disney Twisted-Wonderland

    Disney Twisted-Wonderland was one of the most shocking announcements at the event. The anime is set to debut this Fall, and the staff announced that it is planning to release three full seasons.
