According to a new report from Video Games Chronicle, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will include skateboarder Bam Margera. The report comes in spite of the fact that he wasn’t featured in the game’s initial roster.
During a The Live Club, a podcast focused on skateboarding, co-host Roger Bagley said the following:
“Well, here’s what happened. The game was already done. Tony called up Activision and was like ‘hey, we’re putting Bam in the thing’, and they were like ‘hey, we can’t’. He goes ‘no, you’re gonna do it’, and basically made them fly Bam back out there to get body-scanned and everything else, and get him back in the game.”
In the past, Margera has faced health issues, substance abuse, and legal problems. This is likely the reason he was initially excluded from the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 roster. Activision and Iron Galaxy have not currently commented on the news.
The new Pro Skater remaster will be available for $49.99. Further, the PlayStation and Xbox versions will include cross-gen entitlement upon purchase. Pre-orders include access to the Foundry demo and the Wireframe Tony Shader.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will be sold for $69.99 and features DOOM Slayer and Revenant as playable skaters. Both have two secret moves. Moreover, DOOM Slayer includes two unique outfits and the Unmaykr Hoverboard skate deck. Digital Deluxe Edition contents also include additional songs, three days of early access, along with Create-a-Skater items and exclusive DOOM Slayer, Revenant, and Create-a-Skater skate decks.
Lastly, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will release on July 11 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
