Capcom announced Resident Evil 3 is now available in the App Store on compatible Apple devices, including iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and every iPad and Mac with the M1 chip or later.
Players may try out a portion of Resident Evil 3 with a free download on iOS and Mac. The free download can be accessed on all supported devices linked to the same Apple Account. In addition, save data is transferrable between iPhone, iPad, and Mac with cross-progression.
Resident Evil 3 on iPhone and iPad includes fully customizable touch controls. iPhone and iPad players can utilize a brand-new Auto Fire feature, which allows players to automatically fire weapons after aiming at enemies for a short time. Resident Evil 3 is also compatible with a variety of controllers on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, including DualSense controllers.
Previously, Capcom released a new update for Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 7, and Resident Evil Village on Apple devices, allowing players to start up the game without an internet connection. Players must update their Resident Evil games to the newly released version in order to start it up without an internet connection.
Capcom also launched Resident Evil 2 on Apple, including iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPad and Mac devices with M1 chip or later. Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 2 on Apple supports the Universal Purchase feature and cross-progression. In addition, these features allow players to re-download the game and continue from where they off across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, since and transfer save data between devices.
