The many S-rank hunters deployed for the Jeju Island raid are about to come under attack by a powerful humanoid ant monster in Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise From The Shadow- episode 23. Solo Leveling episode 22 began with a friendly sparring match between Korea and Japan’s best hunters, Baek Yoonho and Cha Hae-in included. While they fight against Japan’s Kumamoto, Jinwoo steps in to block an incoming kick and counter with an arm lock. Jinwoo’s swift actions caught the attention of Goto Ryuji, who promptly asks Jinwoo if he wants to spar. The two fight without holding back, and the rest of the hunters on standby are forced to step in and stop the fight before it escalates further.
Despite being praised for his display during the matchup, Jinwoo isn’t comfortable committing to the upcoming Jeju Island raid and declines once more. Cha also takes notice that Jinwoo’s name is missing from the raid roster, but Choi Jong-in believes there’s enough manpower from 15 S-rank hunters to handle the raid. However, that might be a premature conclusion, since the ants are evolving to an alarming extent, producing a humanoid ant.
