Koei Tecmo and Team NINJA have released Rise of the Ronin for PC via Steam, and the developers are preparing an update and currently investigating issues affecting the PC version. These issues include frame rate drops and slow performance on the Ultra preset, regardless of the user’s specifications.

Rise of the Ronin is also experiencing model rendering issues when the Ultra preset is set, so Koei Tecmo recommends players change the preset to “Standard” or “High.” There’s also an issue where the game runs in slow motion if the FPS Limit setting is set to 120. Setting the limit to 60 can resolve the issue while Koei Tecmo works on the new Rise of the Ronin update for PC.

Check out the game’s launch trailer below:

Rise of the Ronin on PC includes many new and exclusive features that weren’t present in the PlayStation 5 version. The PC version supports 8K, DirectX 12 Ultimate, ultra-wide aspect ratios, 120 FPS, ray tracing, 3D audio, customizable keyboard and mouse controls, AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution support, Nvidia DLSS and Reflex support, Intel XeSS support, and a UI menu with mouse clickability.

All purchases of Rise of the Ronin before April 2 include four combat styles: Hayabusa-ryu for Katana, Hayabusa-ryu for Naginata, Nioh-ryu for Katana, Aisu Kage-ryu for Katana. Players will also receive the Iga Ninja armor set and katana.

Before launch, Final Weapon reviewed Rise of the Ronin on PC and gave it a 3.5 out of 5. As stated in the review, the user’s mileage may vary on PC due to the game’s performance issues.
