NetEase and Marvel have announced that they will add a new update and pair of costumes to Marvel Rivals on March 13. The update adds new fixes and hero adjustments.
The two new Marvel Rivals costumes are for Loki and Storm. The former originates from a four-part comic series called Vote Loki and is simply called “President Loki.” The latter depicts Storm with Mjolnir and paints her as the “Goddess of Thunder.” The design originated in X-Men Annual (1970) #9. Check out the post showcasing the costumes below:

Additionally, NetEase announced a new major update for Marvel Rivals. The update includes new Twitch Drops and fixes for certain bugs pertaining to the mechanics and abilities for a select few heroes. The update also includes a balance patch. The following heroes have been affected:
- Human Torch
- The fiery hero is getting a boost to his primary attack damage output and Ultimate Ability, enhancing his solo takedown potential.
- Iron Man
- The Armored Avenger will see slight adjustments to his primary attack in both states, balancing his mid-range offensive capabilities.
- Cloak & Dagger
- The duality duo will see improvements in their healing abilities, making them more versatile for various team compositions.
In February, NetEase laid off Marvel Rivals support studio director Thaddeus Sasser and his team in an ongoing attempt from the company to increase profits. The layoffs are especially surprising, considering the game’s recent and continued success. It is unknown how this will affect the Marvel Rivals‘ future.
Lastly, Marvel Rivals will release the new costumes and balance update on March 14. The game is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It may release later on the Nintendo Switch 2.
