Sony Interactive Entertainment announced a State of Play showcase will be held on February 12 at 2:00 p.m. PST / 5:00 p.m. EST. The broadcast will be over 40 minutes long with news and updates on upcoming PlayStation 5 games from studios around the world.
The February 12 State of Play broadcast will air on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels in English and Japanese. It’s expected to feature major third-party games. Rumors and speculation indicate that the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be confirmed at the showcase.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will release in 2025 for PlayStation 5. On February 5, Hideo Kojima shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he’s in the editing booth for the first time in over a year to work on a new trailer. One of the few images of a new trailer includes the iconic “A Hideo Kojima Game” tagline. This trailer could potentially air during State of Play.
Lastly, those co-streaming the event or uploading reactions may want to be cautious, as the use of copyrighted music and content will likely be present.
