Kuro Games announced the next version update for Wuthering Waves. Wuthering Waves Version 2.1, titled Waves Sing, and the Cerulean Bird Calls, will be released for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 on February 13th, 2025 (UTC+8).
Wuthering Waves Version 2.1 Resonators and Events
This new version update adds two new 5-Star Resonators, Phoebe and Brant, and severaç new new areas to the Rinascita region, such as the Riccoli Islands and the Vault Underground. Brant will also receive a Companion Story, titled “Sail Day, Captain!”, which will be available from March 6th.
Version 2.1’s signature event will be titled Old Man and the Whale. Players will set sail and head to the north of Ragunna City, where the largest fishing ground of Rinascita—the Riccioli Islands—is said to be.
Wuthering Waves Adds Ray-Tracing Support
For players on PC who have an RTX 40-series card or later will be able to turn on Ray-Traced Global Illumination. If you have an older graphics card, Kuro Games has announced that they have plans to expand this feature to be compatible with older cards.
Version 2.1 Quality of Life Improvements
Next, quality of life improvements have been announced. The first is Echo Presets, which allow you to easily save and apply customized Echo lineups for your Resonator. Furthermore, a “Suggest” button will also be implemented, listing the most commonly used Mainstats and Substats for the current Resonator. This feature allows to quickly filter out suitable Echoes.
Last, but not least, Wuthering Waves will be officially released for MacOS on the App Store from March 27th, 2025, allowing more players to dive into the expansive open world.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.1 Trailer
Wuthering Waves launched on May 22, 2024 for Android, iOS, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5 in early January 2025. Over 30 million players have downloaded the game thus far. To celebrate 30 million downloads, Kuro Games distributed Lustrous Tide x10 and Crystal Solvent x5 to all Wuthering Waves players for free.
