Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital released Gran Turismo 7 update 1.55, featuring the previously revealed Hyundai Ioniq 5 N electric car, the Gran Turismo F3500-A, new events, and much more.
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.55 introduces the Honda Civic Si Extra (EF) ’87 and Toyota C-HR S ’18, alongside the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Gran Turismo F3500-A. The update also brings the new Extra Menu No. 43 Collection: Group C, which is available to players Collector Level 47 and above according to Polyphony Digital’s blog post.
Three new World Circuit events were added: Sunday Cup (Kyoto Driving Park – Miyabi), Japanese FF Challenge 450 (Sardegna – Road Track – C), and World Touring Car 600 (Autódromo de Interlagos). The next-generation AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy, is now available for the Autódromo de Interlagos and Mount Panorama Circuit tracks. Players should be on the lookout for the Sophy icon in the Quick Race menu on each track to test your skills against Sophy. Lastly, the update brings the Chromatic Drive featured Curation to Scapes.

Gran Turismo 7 will continue to receive major updates on a near-monthly basis on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Polyphony Digital released the game’s free demo, My First GT, on December 6, 2024. Players may complete the demo to earn bonuses in Gran Turismo 7.
In other news, Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5 in spring 2025, giving Gran Turismo fans another game to try out. It will have cross-play with the existing Xbox Series X|S and PC versions.
