Turn 10 Studios and Playground games announced Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PlayStation 5 in spring 2025. The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 is available to wishlist right now in the PlayStation Store.
The PS5 version was developed by Panic Button in partnership with the original Forza Horizon 5 developers, and it will have the same content as the Xbox and PC releases. Forza Horizon 5 will feature cross-play across all three platforms. Previously released Car Packs and the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions will be available for purchase separately.
Moreover, a new free content update, Horizon Realms, is currently in the works for all three versions of Forza Horizon 5. Realms will give players the chance to explore a curated collection the community’s favorite previously released Evolving Worlds, along with “other surprises.”
Forza Horizon 5 could possibly come to more platforms, according to what Xbox CEO Phil Spencer implied with his recent comments. Spencer confirmed that Xbox will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with what will likely be a wide variety of games.
Spencer said, “Who would ever bet against the success of that team, I mean, they are just masterful in what they do, Switch is a massive success and I think Switch 2 will be as well…Nintendo, their innovation, and what they mean in this industry… I just always applaud the moves that they make.”
Spencer added, “They did a little flash video, and I know we’ll get more detail over time. I’m really looking forward to supporting them with the games that we have, and I just think they’re a really important part of this industry.”
Lastly, Forza Horizon 5 is available now for Xbox Series X|S and PC via Microsoft Store and Steam.
