Bandai Namco released the version 1.03 update for Freedom Wars Remastered on all platforms with fixes to crashing issues during certain operations. In addition, the update applies fixes to game crashes and frame rate drops while using Windows 11 version 24H2 on PC.

- The game crashing during certain operations.
Nintendo Switch
- The game crashing when you choose Accessory voice “A-4” when in JP voice mode.
Steam:
- Frame rate drops or game freezes when using Windows 11 version “24H2”
- The game stuck on loading screen after launching the game.
- The game not saving properly, resulting in progress rewind.
*Attention to Steam users:
- If you have made any changes to the installed files for the game in order to avoid any problems, please make sure to return the folder to its original state before applying the update, as the update may not be applied correctly. If the situation does not improve after the update, please try uninstalling and re-installing the game.
Originally released for the PS Vita, Freedom Wars has been upgraded to support up to 4K at 60 FPS on modern platforms. In addition, Freedom Wars Remastered includes an adjusted game balance, new features, updates to weapon crafting and upgrades, and much more. If Freedom Wars Remastered sells well, a sequel could come, according to producer Takashi Tsukamoto.
Lastly, Freedom Wars Remastered is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
