SEGA and Paramount Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog 3 reached $420 million in global box office sales. This makes the third film the most successful in the franchise, surpassing the record set by Sonic the Hedgehog 2 at $405 million.
Thus far, the Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise has exceed well over $1 billion worldwide. The Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise will likely continue to earn far more than 1 billion dollars in the future, especially with the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in 2027. Following its box office success, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is rumored to come to release digitally on January 21 as well.
