Bandai Namco announced Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown surpassed six million copies sold worldwide across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The updated sales figure includes physical shipments and digital copies sold.
Update — January 17: Bandai Namco also confirmed that the Ace Combat series surpassed 20 million copies sold. In addition, there’s new Ace Combat hoodies and t-shirts are available on Amazon (non-affiliate link), and fans can download new wallpapers here. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – Top Gun: Maverick Edition is also 80% off on Steam and PlayStation 4 until January 19 and January 29, respectively.
One million copies of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown were sold the previous sales update in November 2023. Since then, Bandai Namco released Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition for Nintendo Switch on July 11, 2024. The Nintendo Switch version features the base game and six DLC packs, alongside additional bonuses and support for up to eight players in multiplayer.
Moreover, game producer Manabu Shimomoto teased new projects and plans for the 30th anniversary plans of Ace Combat. According to Shimomoto, the team is hard at work on the next game in the Ace Combat series, along with new unannounced projects.
“We are working hard on the latest Ace Combat title, so we hope fans will wait a little longer. We are also working on new projects! The year 2025 will mark the 30th anniversary of the Ace Combat series, so we look forward to sharing further information about it with fans.”
