The Pokémon Company and Niantic announced the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event will feature an all-new Tour Pass, which is a free and limited-time progression track. This will be a new way that players can maximize their rewards during the event from February 24 at 10:00 a.m. to March 2 at 6:00 p.m. local time.
To rank up a Tour Pass, Pokémon GO players simply play the game and complete activities, such as catching Pokémon, completing Raids, and hatching Eggs. More points may be earned by completing Pass Tasks, which refresh daily. These are similar to Research Tasks and will award generous amounts of points needed to rank up, unlock rewards, and completing milestones.
A paid version of the Tour Pass, Tour Pass Deluxe ($14.99), will be available as well for players wanting to earn even better rewards and progress faster. Players who buy the Tour Pass Deluxe get an encounter with Mythical Pokémon Vicini, a new Lucky Trinket item that turns grants the Lucky Friend status to a friend, a new avatar item, and more. Progress can be fast tracked even further with the $19.99 Tour Pass Deluxe Bundle featuring 10 immediate rank unlocks.

In addition to the Tour Pass, players can expect many Pokémon to appear during Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, including Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. Pokémon GO Tour: Unova will take place from February 21 to 23, 2025 in New Taipei City, Taiwan and in Los Angeles at the Rose Bowl Stadium. The Global event will follow up on March 1 to 2, 2025 for all players, and the official event page is live here.
