Bandai Namco Entertainment announced Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 has been canceled as a result of the California wildfires. Further updates will be revealed at a later date for the event’s previously planned tournaments for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and more.
Here’s a message released by the staff on Twitter/X:
Event Cancellation Notice
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the wildfires in Southern California.
As the wildfires continue to present a risk to the Greater Los Angeles Area, and to prioritize the safety of all attendees and everyone involved, we have decided to cancel the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025 event, originally scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, California, on Saturday, January 18th and Sunday, January 19th, 2025.
We will provide further updates regarding the tournaments for Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters, Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, and Dragon Ball FighterZ, on each official social media.
—Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2025
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO game is available now, allowing fans to relive iconic moments from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO DLC 1 and DLC 2 will release in Q1 2025 with playable characters from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and Dragon Ball Daima, respectively. DLC 3 release in Q2 2025 with more playable characters from Dragon Ball Daima.
The ongoing Dragon Ball Daima series is the last major anime work that Toriyama was involved in before his passing. Goku, Vegeta, Supreme Kai, and the rest of the crew are turned into children, prompting them to embark on a new adventure in the Demon Realm. New episodes release on Fridays on Crunchyroll and Netflix with English subs, and English dubs would follow in staggered releases.
