Xbox has announced that they will hold a Developer Direct on January 23. The event will feature updates from id Software, Compulsion Games, and Sandfall Interactive, on Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Additionally, the event will also highlight a surprise studio working on a “brand new game.”

The event will start at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. Further, the games mentioned will be available at some point this year on Xbox Series X|S. Some may also be available on other consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass. Xbox Wire describes all three games as follows:

    DOOM: The Dark Ages

Developed by id Software, DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal that tells the epic cinematic origin story of the Doom Slayer’s rage. In this third installment of the modern DOOM series, players will step into the blood-stained boots of the Doom Slayer in this never-before-seen dark and sinister medieval war against Hell.
