HoYoverse announced that Honkai Impact 3rd Version 8.0 “In Search of the Sun” will arrive on January 9. The new update adds Durandal’s new battlesuit, Reign Solaris, and players will continue investigating the Ten Shus War in the main story.
Reign Solaris is an IMG-type Physical DMG battlesuit for Durandal, making her more agile with a javelin that can be used in nimble ways. The battlesuit also has two different combat forms with Rampager and Skyrider. Rampager allows Durandal to perform 3-sequence attacks and perform Charged Attacks, while Skyrider lets her rush past enemies on a hoverboard and perform lightning-quick attacks. She also soars on her hoverboard in her Ultimate, hurling her weapon and piercing the sky to deal massive Physical damage.
Durandal’s recommended weapon Valorous Effulgence and PRI-ARM Valorous Effulgence: New Voyage will be available in Honkai Impact 3rd Version 8.0. Players can also earn an emblem, Crystals, Source Prisms, and more by participating in the update’s new Countdown: To Sweet Dreams event. Many characters will return for a comedic story and a fun boss battle, as players help Kiana dodge drumsticks falling from above and attack to the beat of a drum. It’s up to players to help Kiana restore the dream world. Senadina’s new outfit Steering Inequations will also be available.
The main story continues in Part 2 Chapter VII: Bouquets of Unfulfilled Wishes. Dreamseeker and her companions return to the Mars system to investigate the Ten Shus War, and many unexpected developments will unfold. Players can also expect to solve puzzles and play a new cube game. Completing the main story grants several rewards, including more Crystals.
