    Anime Industry Celebrates New Year’s Day 2025 With New Visuals

    A jam-packed year of anime awaits.

    New Year’s Day festivities kicked off first in Japan and the anime industry celebrated with key visuals and updates for popular series continuing in 2025. These anime include Frieren: Beyond Journey End and The Apothecary Diaries, which are both continuing into their second seasons.

    First up is Re:ZERO Starting Life in Another World Season 3, which continues on February 5, 2025, with the Counterattack Arc. To celebrate the New Year, Kadokawa shared the following key visual with Emilia front and center:

    It’s unclear when exactly Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 will premiere, but all eyes are on 2025 for the mage’s return. Frieren can be seen wearing a New Year’s Day kimono in the latest key visual:
