The Game Awards 2024 showrunner Geoff Keighley announced the 10th anniversary show set a massive new record with 154 million global livestreams. This is the most watched show in the history of The Game Awards.
Moreover, Keighley confirms that the fan poll for The Game Awards 2024 gave the show an A grade, making it one of his highest-rated shows yet. He doesn’t know if the 2025 show will top the 2024 show, but he teases that there’s “lots more to come.”
Additional stats were released for The Game Awards 2024. StreamCharts tracked that more than four million peak concurrent users were streaming The Game Awards 2024 on Twitch and YouTube, which is a 10% increase on the record from 2023.
On Twitter/X, hashtag usage for The Game Awards 2024 also went up by 10%. There was a total of 6.79 billion impressions of The Game Awards content and over 1.59 million posts. Voter turnout for The Game Awards 2024 was also massive. Over 112 million viewer votes were accrued, including votes for Players’ Voice.
