Bandai Namco and Yu Suzuki Announce Steel Paws

An iconic SEGA developer returns.

Steel Paws was officially announced by Bandai Namco at The Game Awards today. This new mobile title comes from Yu Suzuki, the creator behind Shenmue and Virtua Fighter, a series that also received an announcement today.

Steel Paws will be available sometime in 2025, only on Netflix Games. The trailer is purely animated, with no gameplay to be seen. This looks to be a colorful and vibrant game with a lighthearted tone. 

Yu Suzuki is considered by many to be a video game industry legend. He spent many years of his career with SEGA, helping create some of the company’s more iconic titles. In 2019, he would finally release the third entry in the Shenmue series
