BeXide has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that their escape adventure game The Fox’s Way Home will be officially ported to the Nintendo Switch, scheduled to release in Spring 2025. More information about the release date will be revealed at a later date.
In this game, you are a nameless man who wanders inside the spirit world. Then, you encounter the Fox Shrine Maiden (voiced in Japanese by Maaya Uchida), who says she has a ritual that can be performed to get you back to your world.
As she herself states:
“One! If you believe it is my real self, call upon my name!”
“Two! If you think it to be an impostor, see through the deception at once!”
“Know that if you err in either, the ritual fails immediately!”
If you find a difference from the initial dance, press the “Fake” button and point at what you think is different from the original dance. If you don’t find anything suspicious, watch the dance untill the end or press the “Real” button. This process must be repeated a total of eight times, so that the eight lanterns light up.
The various forms of the “mononoke” you have exposed can be recorded in the Apparition Encyclopedia.
