Square Enix, Aniplex, and Crunchyroll announced that the Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc anime will premiere in April 2025. Black Butler: Public School Arc director Kenjiro Okada returns to direct the new anime.
CloverWorks will continue to produce the Black Butler anime series in Emerald Witch Arc, with Okada at the helm. Hiroyuki Yoshino is in charge of series composition, while Yumi Shimizu is handling character designs.
Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto reprise their roles as Sebastian Michaelis and Ciel Phantomhive respectively. They’re joined by Chikahiro Kobayashi as Wolfram Gelzer and Rie Kugimiya as Sieglinde Sullivan.
Yana Toboso’s Black Butler manga series began in 2006, and more than 30 volumes have been released to date. The 34th volume released on April 26.
Once more, Crunchyroll will stream the new anime series worldwide as it airs in Japan. Fans can catch up on Black Butler by watching all four seasons on the streaming service right now.
